Local Physician to Host Teen Driving School

August 31, 2009

Dr. Graf Hilgenhurst, board-certified in Pain Management and

Anesthesiology and owner of Precision Pain Care in Smyrna, is

transforming his passion for high performance driving into an

extraordinary learning opportunity for teenage drivers and their parents.

Dr. Hilgenhurst is the lead coordinator and a key instructor for the

Nashville stop of Tire Rack Street Survival® Program, a day-long

workshop designed to teach teens real-world, life-saving driving skills.

Sponsored by the BMW Car Club of America, the program will be held

from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Nashville SuperSpeedway in

Lebanon. Teens and parents may register at www.streetsurvival.org or

by calling 864-329-1919.

As a father, Dr. Hilgenhurst is well aware that the leading killer of

American youths is motor vehicle crashes. He is thrilled about the

potential the Tire Rack Street Survival program has to save lives.

"Most kids find the limits of the vehicle the hard way," says Dr.

Hilgenhurst. "The Street Survival school allows teens to experience this

under controlled conditions. We are excited about bringing it to Middle

Tennessee."

Held on courses around the nation, the Street Survival workshops are

carefully planned to simulate challenging driving scenarios. With

experienced driving instructors in the car with them, teens learn how to

successfully navigate a variety of road hazards and dangerous

conditions. For more information about Tire Rack Street Survival

School, visit www.streetsurvival.org.
